Choosing our Builder and Home
With the land now out of the way, it was time to pick our home.
This time around, we decided on a double storey - for no other reason than the fact that we're young and the opportunity is now - so we're taking the plunge and going to try and build our dream home.
We wanted a floor plan that stood out from the rest and we became absolutely obsessed with the thought of having a grand void to create the feeling of space and high ceilings.
We came across a Fowler Homes design - The Moroccan 42 at Kellyville Homeworld and fell in love.
But sadly, it wasn't meant to be as our land just wasn't long enough and in order to fit the plan we would need to sacrifice a full meter off the back lounge.
After more contemplating... we had come down to 2 choices Fowler Homes' Paris 36 or Fowler Homes' Portofino 38.
The Paris 36 didn't have a ready display home and I wanted a visual comparison to stay safe so we made an executive decision and went with the Portofino 38.
